A pixel art gamer helping gamers find games and indie devs get their games discovered.
Why I Play Video Games
Video games are an effective medium for storytelling, education and connecting with people. My family and I experienced this as we bonded over various games throughout my childhood. Despite our differences, video games helped us become closer as a family.
Those memories are what kept me interested in gaming to this day.
The Nintendo Entertainment System and its pixel graphics held a special in my heart. In fact, I have an NES and still play on it to this day.
WHAT I DO
PixLiz displays clean video game commentary with special effects and attention to accurate captions. Airdate TBD.
PixLiz creates in depth articles for both game developers and lovers of pixel art games.
I created a let's play channel before PixLiz and absolutely fell in love with the medium.
But, this time around, I'm determined to push the idea of what a gaming channel can really do for the community.
I like the rewatchability and searchability YouTube provides. It encourages me to make the highest quality videos I can. And, has inspired me to learn about Google Search Engine Optimization.
In high school, I helped start our school newspaper and became one of the head editors.
It gave me some experience before writing online articles for others.
I learned how to find things people are looking for, and how to give people valuable reading material. It's my goal to give members of the pixel art gaming community interesting things to read and enjoy.
My friend Jackk4ttackk suggested that I join.
At first, I wasn't too sure about it because it was so new to me.
But, after learning more about it, I'm excited to find entertaining ways to engage with the community. Twitch provides engagement opportunities that I simply don't have with YouTube videos and blogging.
